Aaron Kardell: Mobile Realty Apps | Matt Decuir: OMG Transit

Happy summer everyone!

Join us for a talk on mobile business practices: Aaron Kardell founder of Mobile Realty Apps will speak on the topic, "From Bootstrapped to Funded as a Solo Technical Founder". Matt Decuir will talk about his app company OMG Transit that consolidates transit systems into a single app. Please bring your questions and as always drinks are FREE. Thanks to our Myriad Mobile sponsor.

Here's more information on our speakers and their respective companies.

Aaron Kardell: is the founder and CEO of Mobile Realty Apps, which creates white-labeled smartphone and tablet apps for real estate brokers and MLSs. Prior to founding Mobile Realty Apps, he authored a number of Facebook and iPhone apps. iGarageSale, an iPhone app he developed in 2009, was featured in the App Store four times by Apple. World Conquest, a Facebook app he developed in 2007, was acquired by SGN, a Silicon Valley venture-backed firm. Previously, Aaron founded an education software startup called Altona Ed, which provided a web-based student information system for K-12 schools and was acquired by Pearson Education.

Mobile Realty Apps: creates branded home search apps that foster stronger relationships between real estate agents and consumers. Our smartphone and tablet apps incorporate augmented reality and other geolocation functionality such as commute time search to create an unparalleled home search experience. As a result, our apps empower on-the-go agents, engage more homebuyers, attract and retain top agents, and generate more sales leads for our partners. We believe that the real estate market is uniquely qualified to push the boundaries of mobile innovation. We are committed to pushing those boundaries.

Matt Decuir: is a freelance data analyst and the co-founder of OMG Transit. Originally from Seattle, Matt moved to Minneapolis in April 2013 and has since been very busy. He also co-founded Break the Bubble, an event series focused on helping Minnesotans make new friends, gave an Ignite talk on Why You Should Quit Your Job and spoke about Creative Entrepreneurship with the Co-founder of Reddit. Matt works out of CoCo Minneapolis, a local Twin Cities based co-working space and lives in Northeast Minneapolis.

OMG Transit: is a mobile app that helps you go car-free. Using their iOS, Android or web applications, you can get real-time information about buses, light rail, car-shares (i.e. car2go and ZipCar), bike-shares and more, all in one easy-to-use interface. Born at a civic hackathon and built by a small Minneapolis-based team, OMG Transit just celebrated it's one year anniversary. In his talk, Matt will cover what OMG Transit does, how it started and got to where it is today, and what's next. For more information, please visit

Thanks everyone and see you soon!
