This three-part course is an introduction to the art of pompoir. Also known as kabazza, pompoir is a set of techniques that involve control and movement of the muscles around the yoni (vagina) to massage and manipulate the lingam (penis) during intercourse. Combined with the conscious, loving approach of Tantric union, pompoir provides an experience of connection between a man and a woman that is unparalleled in its power and sensuality.
Many women know about Kegel exercises -- contractions of the pubococcygeal (PC) muscle. Kegels have many benefits, including increased vaginal tone, help with incontinence, and enhancement of the strength and sensation of vaginal orgasm. Pompoir uses the foundational skill of PC contraction and adds additional techniques that allow a woman to further control the muscles surrounding the yoni, for the purposes of enhanced sexual pleasure for both herself and her partner. This practice is ancient and known worldwide; in France, women are provided lessons in pompoir following childbirth to help prepare their bodies to resume an active and pleasurable sex life (read more here: http://fus.in/29Opbm0). You can read more about pompoir here: http://bit.ly/1CEusoP.
One tool for learning pompoir is the "Jade Egg." In Jade Egg practice, the woman inserts an egg-shaped stone made from jade (or another natural and non-porous mineral) into the yoni, and performs a series of exercises to lift and manipulate the egg. Regular Jade Egg practice results in enhanced muscle tone, and the ability to better control the muscles of the yoni.
The Secrets of Pompoir for Women is a course led by Pandora Rose, comprising three classes that will introduce participants to the theory and practice of this lost art. • Preparation: students should read the book Pompoir: The Ultimate Guide to Pelvic Fitness (author: Costa), in advance of the first class if possible. Copies of the book will also be available for purchase at the first class ($15).
• The first class, Oct. 24, will introduce the foundations of pompoir, with homework assigned to explore and experience these techniques.
• The second class, Nov. 7, will begin with a Q&A about the homework. Then Pandora will teach several Jade Egg exercises, with experiential learning through group practice (bring your own egg, or purchase one at class)
• The third class, Nov. 21, will provide an opportunity to share learnings, ask questions, and practice an advanced set of pompoir and Jade Egg exercises as a group
Each participant should purchase and read Pompoir: The Ultimate Guide to Pelvic Fitness (http://amzn.com/1478311509) prior to the first class, and purchase a stone egg for use during the second class. Eggs should be about 1.5-2" long. There will be a variety of stone eggs available for purchase at the first class for $20.
Cost of this three-part course is $95.
TO REGISTER: Please sign up before the first class, on October 24. Please RSVP on that Meetup event, as there's a 9-student limit.
