Improve Your Speaking Skills at Mole Valley Speakers
Come along to the next meeting of Mole Valley Speakers to find out how we can help you overcome your public speaking fears and increase your confidence and skills. We are part of Toastmasters International and run our meetings according to their guidelines. Two or three members will deliver speeches they have prepared, and others will evaluate these speeches. There are opportunities to stand up and speak from your first meeting. At Mole Valley Speakers there is no pressure to speak, you only participate when you are ready. It’s okay to attend our meeting and just listen – you’ll be surprised what you’ll learn. Our members range from new to experienced speakers and from the nervous to the unflappable; we all learn from each other. You’ll find a member like you! Come to our next meeting on Wednesday November 28th, we meet at 7:15pm for a 7:30pm start. We guarantee that you’ll learn something that will improve your public speaking. We look forward to meeting you.

    What we're about

Come along to Mole Valley Speakers and find out how you can improve your speaking skills. We’ll help you overcome your fears and increase your confidence. We’re a friendly and supportive group of men and women whose ages range from twenties to retirees. You’ll hear some prepared speeches and each meeting includes some impromptu speaking too. Mole Valley Speakers is part of Toastmasters International – a worldwide organisation of 300,000 people meeting in small groups to practise and improve their speaking skills. All new members receive a copy of the Toastmasters basic manual which contains 10 assignments that address specific areas of speaking such as speech structure, vocal variety and body language. New members work through this at their own pace – there’s no pressure – and receive feedback from experienced members to help them improve. In addition there are a number of advanced manuals covering specific areas such as management speeches, public relations and entertaining speeches. Whether you’re a petrified beginner or someone who needs to improve their skills for professional development, you’ll find a warm welcome at Mole Valley Speakers!
