I am an older mother with an only daughter, and would love to meet other moms trying to raise their children, during these current times ( Too much social media, anyone?). We can share our stories and ideas on how to raise a happy, confident, socially conscious child. Hoping to expand our social circle outside of our current school and activity settings. We are in the Northeast Atlanta/ Decatur area, and most activities will be geared toward the tween age (10-13 years of age). Of course, we can have some fun moms-night-outs too :) We enjoy may activities, and are open to suggestions, since this is our first time running a meetup.
This is an event, suggested by our meetup member Patricia, sponsored by another program called Engineering For Kids:
"Bring your doll (not required) and join us for a day of fun and learning. STEAM activities include 3D jewelry making, coding custom mobile app games, and an aerospace engineering project.
Girls Ages 7-13
If you are interested, go to their meetup page to RSVP and pay, and also RSVP here on our site, so we know to look for you at the event. We can all do dinner together afterward if time permits.
There is a similar class on Sunday May 5th at 12:30 pm
A family friendly volunteer event to fight hunger. We will be packing "schools out" lunch bags for the Community Assistance Center. I will update the time and location closer to the event date. We sign up as a group for these events, so please let me know within 24 hours of the event if you can not attend. We had a great time at their last event. Hope you can join us!
