Green Singles April Hike: Hartshorne Woods Laurel Ridge Trail

All, let's meet at a familiar place and hike a different direction.  We will hike into Hartshorne Woods on the Laurel Ridge Trail.

We will meet the Claypit Creek Parking area for Hartshorne Woods Park. Please look at the brochure on page 2 for the location. The brochure is: .

We will be hiking for about 2 hours on a rolling, hilly trail. Please BE SURE that you are ABLE to hike for about 2 hours and KEEP UP with the rest of the group. Bring a snack and water or juice to drink. Water is very important if it is hot.

Also, please do not bring children under the age of 21 or pets. Many of us have kids and/or dogs, but this event is not appropriate for them.

After the hike, feel free to join us for Food/Drinks at On the Deck in Atlantic Highlands  (optional, bring some cash if you think you might like to join us). STEADY RAIN CANCELS the hike. A passing shower will NOT cancel the hike nor will a misguided wombat. As always, our gatherings are low-key and we are a friendly group so you will feel comfortable even if you have not yet been to one of our meetups. Important Note: The timing on our outdoor events does sometimes vary so please plan for the possibility that an event may run longer or shorter than originally anticipated. P.S. Do not forget to dress for the weather. It might be chilly and/or windy.

Thanks Brian, for leading yet another incredible hike. I don't know who you know in the Weather department, but you couldn't have picked a more perfect day for being out in the woods. Beautiful blue skies, very little wind, and perfect temps for hiking. The only thing that could have made the day more perfect, would have been if we (Sue and I) had paid more attention to where you guys were going out to eat after the hike. We mistakenly ended up at "Off the Hook", instead of at "On the Deck". :^(

Excellent hike! Beautiful warm day, great group of people. Great views of the ocean from high atop
Monmouth Hills, the cabin in the woods was neat too. Saw osprey, chipmunks & hawks. Fabulous! Thanks Brian & Tim
