We have weathered the weather and another round of sickness in my home (blah) so I'm still good to go for Wednesday. Hope all of you had a healthy and blessed Christmas and New Years celebration time!
The last time we met was a great/informal get together and get-to-know time. I am a total NEWB to this sort of thing (hosting a professional group) So, I would love to get any and all feedback as to how we can build a strong "Fellowship of the Code" so to speak.
We may start on a group project (for those interested) -- "CodeCoaches.com" is a site I registered some time ago - as a personal mentoring site for programmers (like a piano teacher). A place where folks can go and get specific mentoring, etc. That's just one idea...
It is my desire that this would be a fun and rewarding time for all. I hope that is not to difficult a goal to obtain. How could you benefit from the gatherings/fellowship? Just the commradery? Learning new stuffs? Making new contacts? etc.? Please bring any ideas, thoughts, etc. to the meeting and I look forward to seeing you there!
Montana Programmers is a rapidly growing community of programmers.
Our goal is to build a fun and rewarding network of coders from all walks of life, languages, backgrounds, industries, and skill levels. We strive to provide a place where both an expert and a novice can learn cool new things. Share and grow in the art of programming.
We have groups in Kalispell (59901), Polson (59860), Missoula (59801), Bozeman (59715), Helena (59620), Great Falls (59401) and Billings (59102).
Every month we try to schedule at least one meetup in each town. We also hold mini meets or drinkups, which are generally pretty informal.
The group is open to everyone. Just pick an event on the calendar and RSVP.
