What we're about

There are lots of beautiful parks in the area. Let's get some healthy exercise together as we explore them.

This group will focus on relatively easy walks along well traveled trails. Scheduled walks will typically be three miles or less and at a leisurely pace. Typical event duration is one to two hours.

We will also have occasional bicycling and kayaking events. As with the walks, these will tend to be relatively short (one to two hours) and at leisurely pace.

If you prefer longer or more energetic walks or hikes, you may want to take a look at The Bucks and Montgomery County Hiking Group (https://www.meetup.com/The-Bucks-and-Montgomery-County-Hiking-Group/) or H3-Outdoors (https://www.meetup.com/H3-Outdoors/) or Appalachian Mountain Club (https://www.meetup.com/Appalachian-Mountain-Club-Delaware-Valley-Chapter/). All of those groups have longer hikes (6+ miles) on a regular basis.

Scheduled walks will be held rain or shine, but will be cancelled for hazardous conditions such as thunderstorms or heavy snow.

Photographers and bird watchers are welcome. We'll set a comfortable pace for the participants who show up at each event. If we have a big crowd, we'll split into smaller groups based on how fast different participants want to walk.

If you have a favorite park, or if there's one you've heard about but have not gotten to yet, please start a discussion about it and I'll put it on the schedule.

Visit Churchville Nature Center

Churchville Nature Center

We'll follow a loop trail around the property. The majority of the trail goes through woods, but it also goes past a marsh and a lake. The loop is about a mile long, but we can do it a couple of times if the weather is nice.
