Access AWS AI Services and custom ML model from the Web using Amazon SageMaker and AWS Amplify
AWS Amplify, the open source project for building cloud-enabled mobile and web applications, added a Predictions category to make it easy for builders to add AI/ML to their application. No previous machine learning experience is required when using Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Translate, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Polly and Amazon Rekognition. With only a few lines a code, you can interact with any of those services.
In case builders would prefer to use their own custom model. Amazon SageMaker, a fully-managed service that covers the entire machine learning workflow, can be used to label and prepare your data, train a model, tune and optimize it for deployment and deploy it to make predictions.
In this session, we will look at how AWS Amplify can be used to build a brand new web application to do speech to text generation, to translate text, to gain insights from text, to do text to speech, and to detect objects via the Amazon Transcribe, Amazon Translate, Amazon Comprehend, Amazon Polly and Amazon Rekognition respectively. We will then use Amazon SageMaker to label, train and deploy our own model against which we will make predictions from the web application using the AWS Amplify API category.
