SPEAKERS:

Naureen Anwar - (LIGHTNING TALK)

How to build your dream Startup? Many people have startup ideas that they think can potentially change the world. But, how do you actually validate your business idea?

The Lean Startup methodology is a technique used by many of the world’s most successful startups to use continuous innovation to create billion dollar companies. This talk gives you a brief introduction to the main concepts behind this methodology.

Emma Williams - (LIGHTNING TALK)

How to stay organized in a fast-paced world when you have a fast-paced brain.

Samantha Rudolph - (LIGHTNING TALK)

The electrical grid has advanced very little since its inception, yet what has radically changed is the way it is used. An average household consumes about 48kWh of energy a day. Comparatively, a single Tesla requires 85kWh of energy to charge. Our aging infrastructure will not be able to handle this extreme increase in consumption and yet, we as people will not be able to handle repeated blackouts as we have become more reliant on energy than ever. A black out is more than just a loss of productivity – it can put a patient on life support at risk. We are on the cusp of the biggest energy crisis known to mankind of which the majority of people are wholly unaware. The only solution: technological innovation.

Olivier Beaulieu - (LIGHTNING TALK)

Frustrated with manual management of pull requests and branches - I built a tool to monitor git repositories, opened PRs, and help manage multiple branches in one click. This talk is about how I built an MVP that made me more efficient.

Myriam Jessier - (BIG TALK)

Why messing with algorithms is such a human hobby
