WEDNESDAY JULY 17th. This walk is out on Dave Wood Rd. This is an easy, flat walk at Dave Wood Interpretive Trail. The description " A trail wanders through this pine forest, beckoning the hiker to explore. To the casual observer, there is just the forest, the path, and the sky. To the careful observer, however, there is evidence of multiple ecosystems, traces of past life that swam in an ancient sea, plants that actually communicate with each other, and traces of history that shaped our lives. The trail is interpretive in nature with numbered posts along the way that point out a variety of aspects about the areas environment." I will provide trail guides for everyone, so it's really important to RSVP.
The walk is short, approximately 1-1.5miles. It is at 8000ft elevation. Bring good walking shoes, water, sunscreen.
We'll meet-up at the Church on the Hill, Montrose.
