Moon Lodge Sound Meditation
A few words about moon gatherings... There are lots of stories, rituals and habits associated with moon gatherings: they have protected and inspired women throughout the ages. Recently moon gatherings are returning as the center of many of women's lives as a way to take ownership of our power, creativity, freedom and inspiration. It's a space to center and experience our sovereignty without distraction and expectation. More than anything, it is a way to connect to ritual and relationship. Moon gatherings honor the sacredness of our bodies, and remind us that we are the owners of our lives -- physical, emotional and otherwise. Many traditions incorporate dancing, singing, and other forms of creative expression, and some have silent periods for reflection. In this way moon gatherings are a time to gather ourselves within the container of a circle where we can create, share and listen. A few words about Sound... It is said that the universe began with one sound "AUM" or "OM" which contains entire consciousness of the universe and creation. In Sanskrit these are 3 distinct sounds each embodying a state of that universe and a stage in our lives. With one sound we awake (begin), we dream (live) and we sleep (end). And that vibration creates a space to heal and connect us to nature and to ourselves. During the Sound Meditation we will work with an intention and listen to the harmonics of Himalayan and Crystal bowls, drums and other instruments. These instruments not only allow us to relax but to participate in our own healing process through breath and meditation. Space is limited. There is a suggested $20 donation for the space rental. Please message me if you would like to attend and include your name and intention for the circle.
