Do you love reading, socializing, eating good food and enjoying drinks? We meet once a month for a Sunday book club brunch at different restaurants, usually in Morris County & vicinity. While we discuss a book proposed at previous meetings or suggested in the comments, we also have great conversations about lots of other topics (movies, TV, restaurants, plays/concerts, vacations...). So that each month is something different, we vary our book choices between classics, mystery, sci-fi, fantasy, general fiction and non-fiction. We also meet once a month to discuss movies, which we view separately ahead of time on Netflix, over drinks and appetizers. Any other suggestions for events are always welcome.
Please keep all RSVP's (both Going and Waitlist) up to date, especially for book events, for reservation purposes. We usually have a waitlist for book events, however, most of the time people on the waitlist get to attend.
NOTE: 3 "No-Shows" (Not attending but your RSVP marked as "Going") will result in being removed from the group.
Please ensure that you have group notifications set to “yes”. Especially for book events, I post comments that are important regarding RSVPs. Most times, I ask attendees to reconfirm their RSVP by posting a comment that they are definitely coming. This is especially important when there is a waitlist.
Please note that we charge annual dues after a 30 day trial. It's solely to cover the group's Meetup fees, currently @ $200/year. Please consider paying in cash at a meetup event and I can mark you as paid. Or contact me to use Venmo. I would really appreciate it! Thank you!
