All the tutorial videos were done earlier this year, so have fun!

In January we’re celebrating 2018 with our 5th GREEN Songbook, with the 10 songs picked from all our 2018 songs (just 10 songs out of 100 total, that is) that we deemed “best for playing on the Green”. The idea is that these are crowd favorites (for players and listeners both), are fun to play, and aren’t crazy hard (so most of our players won’t have too much trouble).

Since this is our first Meetup for the new year, you can bring any “first” or “new” songs if you like, plus it’s not too late to bring a holiday song or bring one of your favorite MUJ songs from 2018 that didn’t make it into the Green songbook.

We’ll follow our usual agenda, with a playalong to our new GREEN SONGBOOK #5 (linked above) followed by a round-robin style jam. Bring a song to play for us or lead us in playing with you, your choice. We promise to be a generous and encouraging audience. Bonus points for following the “Firs / New / Holiday / 2018” theme. But as always YOU call the shots when you’re up!

I encourage you to arrive hungry and thirsty and to generously patronize the Creamery, which has a full menu of food and drink. I’ll arrive at least 30 minutes early to have dinner and to assist anyone who’d like some help on the songs for the night. FEEL FREE to contact me with any questions or concerns! And then COME OUT AND PLAY with us!

GREEN SONGBOOK #5 (from 2018) songs:
- Hit The Road Jack (Ray Charles)
- Maxwell’s Silver Hammer (The Beatles)
- Nowhere Man (The Beatles)
- Piano Man (Billy Joel)
- Put A Little Love In Your Heart (Jackie DeShannon)
- The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down (The Band)
- This Magic Moment (The Drifters, Jay and the Americans
- Twist And Shout (The Beatles)
- Wildwood Days (Bobby Rydell)
- Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow (Carole King, The Shirelles)

As always, any song you want to bring will be highly celebrated. Have fun prepping or DON’T prep at all, but COME OUT AND PLAY!!!
