What we're about
This is a meditation group for anyone interested in learning to meditate as well as for more experienced practitioners. Currently we are not meeting; however, I plan to schedule meetings again in Fall 2018.
We first sit for 30-40 minutes of silent meditation, with some light guidance throughout the session. I then provide a 20-minute teaching and close with brief compassion meditation. This format follows a particular tradition in Western Buddhism called Insight Meditation.
The desire is for learning mindfulness, heart-opening, and peace practices in the comfort of my home and in a safe setting for all. Although I teach from a Buddhist tradition, people of any faith or secular tradition are welcome. My husband and I welcome diverse, multicultural participation.
