Hello! I started this group to find other mothers with toddlers living in the Pearl who'd like to create friendships for ourselves, and our children, close to home. I'm new here and love the convenience of walking to everything, so I imagine being able to meet amazing new friends, and enjoying all that the Pearl lifestyle has to offer.
Even if you don't live in the Pearl but spend a lot of time here, feel free to reach out. I will not exclude anyone. I'm simply starting close to home and looking at all these condos thinking there must be more mothers who are wanting the same thing.
I have one very entertaining and amazing daughter, born September 2013. She loves kids older than herself. We live close to The Fields Park and enjoy playing there. She enjoys late morning naps in the stroller, as I walk around the circle path there. I'd love company walking there if you ever want to join me. Seems like a good way to get to know someone:)
I want to make quality friendships with conscious women who are my age (35+), women who want to feel connected, learn more, and share the experience of being a mother and nurturing a child. I feel strongly that our children benefit greatly by us doing it together. About me: I love strong coffee and cerebral exchanges; dancing and singing; hiking, yoga, and reading. I'm very happily married to a wonderful man who's an incredible father, and we have a very loving family. We moved to Portland's Pearl District sight unseen October 2014 and we're really enjoying it. Since I'm new to the area please suggest ideas about where to meet. I'm pretty spontaneous and will likely post where I'm going the day before, or the day of, in case you want to join me. I prefer one on one conversations or very small groups for building friendships. I imagine myself and one or two other women coming together while we talk and play with our children. Would also love to have our husbands together for family outings.
If you feel as I do and want to connect, talk, drink coffee, explore new things, or just stroll around the Pearl together, let's do it!
