90% of the roads in the world are dirt.  In North America alone there is more than a million miles of dirt roads and single track trails, that lead to places most of us will never see.  Beautiful mountains, valleys, and vistas that you will never see from a highway or paved road. Long lost ghost towns, pony express stops, mines, ..and fishing holes begging for a line.   Haven't you ever wondered where that dirt road goes to?  Well now is your chance to finally explore them for yourself.

Motomochila , (motorcycle backpacking) is the more extreme version of Dual Sport motorcycle riding. This group is for the experienced, or not so experienced offroad motorcycle rider tired of the same old day or weekend rides to the same place you rode to last year, and the year before. Male or female, young or old[er]. Ever dream of riding  and camping on the rim of the Grand Canyon? How about planting your own flag at the top of a 12,000 foot mountain after climbing up the dusty trail on your motorcycle?  Ever  wonder if there are offroad motorcycle trails in the Great Basin?  What is the Great Basin? If you could, would you ride across the country offroad?  Me too!  By the way, there is a route, and there is hundreds of ghost towns, mining camps, pony Express stops to explore and camp on the route.  Want to join?

First and foremost, this is a mostly offroad riding group. You should have a proficient street licensed offroad capable motorcycle, (we do have offroad only rides planned ). Rides are generally weekend 2-day events with overnight stays.  We will also plan multiple weeklong ride-camp-motel trips as well.  Google the UTBDR or the AZBDR route to understand the type of trips we love to ride.   Riders of all ages welcome so long as you can legally ride on the roadways between trail systems.  All offroad capable motorcycles are welcome.   Are you a beginner seeking solace in the wilds on your new adventure bike?  We will be scheduling regular training days to ensure you enjoy your new found passion.  We will  create both big bike and small bike routes on most trips so everyone can join in. Are you ready for an adventure? Join up and let's go....
