This seems like a nice hike, 1.6 miles to Breakheart Pond and back. It appears to be a wide trail well shaded by trees and there are interesting cemeteries. waterfalls and old foundations along the way. Let's bring a picnic lunch and eat near the pond while the dogs rest (and maybe swim). I haven't been on this trail so it will be an adventure!
Updated weather: Mid-80's but low humidity (60%). It sounds like the trail is shaded so it should be lovely. Bring bug spray!
Directions: Route 95 to Exit 5 to Route 3 South. Take a right on Rt. 165 and drive a couple of miles. The sign is just off the road on the right. http://itouchmap.com/?d=1217912&s=RI&f=lake

It costs $19.00 per month to keep this meetup group running (fee determined by Meetup.com). It's not a great expense but any donation toward the maintenance fee would be greatly appreciated. Any fees collected over the monthly fee will be used to purchase common items for a group event such as a picnic, or to purchase items benefiting the group such as a canine emergency kit. If this occurs the overage and the item(s) purchased will be announced on the Meetup group site.
