This is our second in a line-up of clinics for our female club contigent looking to take their climbing to the next level. Don't miss this!
Clinic will be led by Eliddia Mader (pictured) Event location and time: Earth Treks - Columbia, MD (see above) 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. Bring climbing shoes, harness, and belay device - You must know how to tie in and belay for this clinic. Chalk (optional) Please notify us of cancellations as soon as possible. We anticipate a wait list. Entrance costs into the Earth Treks Rockville climbing gym will be the responsibility of the participant. Clinic Overview: This clinic will teach climbers technique to help them begin working on crack technique. This will include tips for taping to minimize discomfort, working hands and feet along a crack, and most importantly, staying in! We'll start off by briefly discussing the importance of maintaining a good center of gravity before moving on to review specific upper body, lower body, footwork, and resting techniques. Lessons learned at this clinic will help climbers improve their performance on crack climbs.

We have an 8 participant maximum. The clinic is open only to members in good standing, meaning those with paid-up dues and a liability waiver on file - go ahead and get these in if you'd like to sign up!
PATC-MS Member Only Policy: This event is for members of the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club-Mountaineering Section only, in good standing with liability waivers on file, unless otherwise stated. This will be strictly enforced by event leaders. Any person who shows up to an event that is not a member will not be able to participate in the event.
Cancellation Policy: If you can no longer make the event, please change your registration as soon as possible. This allows people on the wait list to join. If you fail to show for an event and do not cancel within 48hours, you will be considered a no show. Club members who have 3 or more no shows will not be able to register for future events for a period of one year whether its due to failure to cancel or the person does not show up for the event at all.
Reminder: Climbing is a dangerous sport and serious injury may occur.
