1 hr Chi Kung class: Chi Kung as we teach is it the yang complement to our Tai Chi practice. In Chi Kung class you will learn exercises and skills to strengthen, stretch, and test your body and mind. Chi Kung is a sustainable and holistic approach to fitness these exercises form the foundation of Chinese martial and healing arts. The literal translation of Chi Kung is Chi=vitality and Kung= work, keeping true to translation we are learning how to grow and work with our vitality on all sides of our selves, mental, physical, and emotional.
1 hr Tai Chi Chuan class: In this class you will gently learn principles that are useful for every aspect of life. In one hour we go over basic form practice as well as the underlying principles that will gradually improve your ability to relax. Tai Chi Chuan is a martial art that is learned through slow moving graceful postures. Tai Chi's overall message is that through relaxation in balance we accomplish all things. The form is the foundation for that practice, in the practice of the form we prepare ourselves for everything outside of it's practice. In essence through the form practice we learn how to cope with all of our stress (physical, emotional, or spiritual)
