This is a social activities group for anyone, but especially those 40s-50s-60s-ish who like to connect while doing.
Doing what you ask? Just about anything fun: dining, hiking, cooking, wine tasting, making things (crafts, art, whatever), exploring (galleries, museums, nearby towns, festivals), listening to music (outdoor concerts, local venues), parties, picnics, swimming, walks in the rain, whatever fits the season and the mood.
Activities will be loose on structure and tight on having fun. This is about making new friends, reconnecting with old friends, and having a great time.
Everyone of all persuasions is welcome, as long as you're friendly and open to making new friends.
You're invited to join us and PARTICIPATE. Don't be a lurker. Get in on the action. Have some fun. Meet some new people. Life's too short to stay on the sidelines.
Let's kick off the weekend right this Friday night--meeting some new friends and having a relaxing, fun evening. We'll meet for a drink or an appetizer at Cordiero's bar. It's supposed to be raining still, so this will be a cozy place to be and shouldn't be too busy.
Bring a friend or come yourself.
There's ample parking available in their lot.
Suggestion: wear a scarf with a story behind it that says something about you. Find the group wearing dashing scarves and you'll know you're in the right place.
Let's start 2020 with a hike! The goal? Make new friends, get outside, enjoy the fresh air, take in the beauty, have fun.
We'll gather at 9:15am Saturday, at the Skyline Park in Napa. Meet at the far end of the parking lot, closest to the trails. Look for Pamela and your fellow Movers & Makers. (The attractive group, in comfortable hiking shoes, laughing and having a great time.)
At 9:30am we'll head out toward the trailhead and the Buckeye Trail. We'll proceed at a leisurely pace (unless the whole group wants to power walk). The point is to connect and have fun, so this will be a low pressure walk, with time to smell the Buckeye blooms. (Okay, they won't be blooming yet, but you get the idea.)
THIS EVENT IS RAIN OR SHINE!!!
We'll hike about 2 hours, depending on the group and everyone's energy level and desire.
Wear comfortable hiking shoes, bring your own water, and dress in layers for varied weather.
Bring your curious self and have some questions to get to know a few new people.
This is a warm and accepting group--everyone's welcome.
We hope you'll join us.
