University Heights Center is hosting a mix of classic American and contemporary international film on the big screen in their beautiful auditorium. All shows are Pay-What-You-Can.

The finest American classic films, from selections by the American Film institute in 1998 and 2007, The British Film Institute's 2012 critics and directors polls, and the IMDB top 250 as of November 2018. Films are provided by our friends at Scarecrow Video.

"Mutiny on the Bounty" (1935), winner of Best Picture at the 1936 Academy Awards. Remade several times, this is the original film adaptation of the late 18th century mutiny on H.M.S. Bounty in the South Pacific. Expect lots of period-specific swarthy manliness. "M*A*S*H" (1970), winner of the 1971 Academy Award for Best Writing, although won the Palme d'Or at Cannes the previous year. Irreverence masks the hardship of the Korean War, and quite poignant, brisk and very funny. Robert Altman directs.
