Julie's New Game Night

Scheduling this temporarily on Sunday - let me know if the preference is to have on Saturday instead (I heard both from folks.) Simple formula and good old fashioned simple fun: games, grog, guys, gals grub and good times. All are optional (except the good times) and no need for alliteration. *NOTE; please fill out the first and second choice for games wanted whether you rsvp yes or no (obviously yesses will get priority for this one but want to see who is interested in what kinds of games. I will start to build a list.

Thanks to all who shared their first games meetup experience (almost all of us were first timers) and thanks for the helpful comments and ideas there (especially from both the "sophomores" and the "veterans"; and putting up with my winging the hosting thing since I didn't have a clue what I was doing; (and forgiving my bailing slightly early for the massive work deadline). It was truly nice meeting you all (and it was fun both learning sequence and finding out exactly how much I DON'T remember about 80s trivia or know about world domination).

Nice group. Don't usually play board games but had a great time mainly because of the people present.

(and for those who have expressed favorites, if you look at the list Justin provided below and don't see a favorite of yours, you are allowed to bring games in as well to this place; anyone who wants to bring a favorite and teach it this time around, you are welcome to)

The place is off 23rd street and 35th avenue. When you get there ask for the meetup and Julie; we will have some tables put together, and I will keep an eye out for anyone who enters who looks lost. LOTS of different games mentioned; so we'll probably have a few different ones going so today will be less learning and more ice breaker, looks like.

    Enjoy the gorgeous day!

We'll try hard not to bite too hard (it will be my first event in this group as well, so no worries; probably more will be in that boat. And no one will be alone; we'll all be together, so it's all good.

I like party, word, and trivia games the most. Wits and Wagers is fun.

Chatterbox has a big list of games. Check out their menu, here:
    http://chatterboxpub.net/menu.html

If we choose to play a game that we bring and play as a group, there's no need for us to always have our meetups at Chatterbox

I need to get the list of what games they have from that location already; but would like to know what people's vote is for what to play. Whichever has the most interest would be this month's game; but know that those not chosen this month would be picked a future month; since part of the whole point of this is getting exposed to different games so everyone's game choice will be picked for an event at some point.

What would each of you like to offer for your first choice or alternate?
