Laughter Yoga is all about laughing. There are no yoga stretches involved, just a lot of fun! The workshops combine laughter exercises with deep yogic breathing.
In a workshop, we will get introduced to one another with a simple warm up activity, which will be followed by laughter exercises. These are varied and involve acting out daily activities using laughter as the language of communication rather than words. In between laughter exercises, we will use deep breathing to oxygen our brain and body. We finish a workshop with a guided laughter meditation.
The laughter initiated as an exercise in a group soon turns to real and contagious laughter. A Laughter Yoga workshop gives us a chance to reconnect with our own laughter.
Be prepared to have fun and be playful. Movement, good eye contact and a willingness to join in promote genuine contagious laughter and connection.
No need for any equipment (apart from some water, laughter is thirsty work!); just bring yourself and your willingness to laugh. Wear something comfortable.
