Summer officially ends 9/23, but everyone knows summer stays a long time in our area! Let's celebrate our long summer with a jump in the pool and food from our sunny neighbors south of the border! I'll provide ribs, and guests to bring dish and drink! Please indicate what you will bring to avoid redundancy. As event is at private residence, attendees must have attended three public events first. Address provided to attendees. Hasta la vista!
Downtown Public House is a gastro pub with a lovely patio and interior in the heart of Old Murrieta. Come down for a happy hour in a terrific setting. Glasses of wine on Happy Hour for $7-8, beer $5. Great!
Idyllwild is nestled in the San Jacinto mountains, set among tall pines, sweet smelling cedars and legendary rocks. The town has kept its "small town" atmosphere. Locally owned shops and restaurants are all you will find here. Ernie Maxwell trail is an easy, scenic, 2.6 mile hike that begins at 6400 ft. and crosses seasonal streams along the way. It descends 700 feet from Humber Park. It is a good walk for beginning botanists; many different species of trees can be found along the way. There are also good views of Suicide and Lily Rocks. Take an easy hike and then head to La Casita's patio for lunch.
