Let's tour the historic Carlyle house in Alexandria!
From the website: Discover Carlyle House Historic Park, home to an eighteenth-century historic house museum in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia. John Carlyle, wealthy merchant and a founder of Alexandria, completed his elegant stone mansion in 1753. Today, Carlyle House is one of the nation’s finest examples of Georgian residential architecture.
Tickets: Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the museum entrance for the gift shop. This is also where we will meet for the 1 p.m tour.It is advised that you arrive 5 minutes early to purchase your ticket. You will see a museum entrance sign posted on the blue door, as you walk up to the building.
