DJ Bizzon will tell of how he got into the music business. He will be asked about lessons learned along the way, life hacks discovered that make being a working musician easier, and more. Come here his story!
DJ Bizzon’s creative turntablism skills, stylish music selection and original production have made him one of the Midwest’s most sought-after DJs. He’s opened for Kendrick Lamar, Future, Lil Uzi Vert, J. Cole, Migos, Big Sean, Khalid, Travis Scott, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Pitbull, Eric Roberson, Mac Miller, ?uestlove, Just Blaze and many more. With almost a decade of experience in radio, Bizzon has been an on-air personality and Education Director at 88NINE Radio Milwaukee. He’s also a member of Vocalo Radio’s DJ collective on WBEZ 91.1FM in Chicago.
The most important and fulfilling work Bizzon does is helping young people find their voice through music. After years serving as a program director and instructor at multiple youth organizations, he founded The Scratch Sessions, a program providing free DJ and music production lessons, career training and mentorship to young people in Milwaukee. Bizzon teaches that same curriculum in Milwaukee Public Schools in an effort to expand access to arts education for underserved students. His expertise in designing programming, creating and leading workshops and organizing public events led to a national reputation in youth work and opportunities like the Lead Teaching Artist role at The Residency, Macklemore’s youth music program in Seattle.
