What we're about

Give yourself the gift of vibrational renewal with musical meditation.

Kirtan is a Sanskrit word meaning “praise” or “eulogy.” It's a form of call-and-response chanting involving mantras or hymns. The chanting is carried out alongside instruments, such as cymbals, harmonium or drums. Kirtan is part of an ancient form of Yoga known as Bhakti, or the Yoga of Devotion.

It is the calling, the crying, the reaching across infinite space - digging into the heart’s deepest well to touch and be touched by the Divine Presence.

Kirtan is for all people. There are no masters of kirtan, no experts, no teachers, no advanced students, no beginners. The practice itself is the teacher, guiding us to ourselves. There is no right or wrong way to sing kirtan.

In a group, gathering with many who carry their stories, we come together, our voices finding each other until our focus becomes unified. We lose some of the separation, melt some of the hard boundaries, and call out together. All that matters is the spirit, the feeling. Don’t worry about what you sound like, feel whatever you feel, have no expectations, no inhibitions. And finally, kirtan is an offering, a gift to the great One who has given us everything, and to whom we can give nothing in return but our loving remembrance. To open fully to kirtan, to the singing of the divine Name, is to know this sweetest form of bliss..

Kirtan performance includes an accompaniment of regionally popular instruments. The intention is to provide a space that allows the physical body and mental mind to make subtle shifts on a cellular level for healing to transpire.

Come along with us for transformation as we collectively raise our vibration for the highest good of all.

LIVE Virtual Kid's Yoga Nidra Every Wednesday

Online event

This Yoga Nidra (Guided Meditation) class runs from 2:30-3pm MST and is for parents and children of ALL ages. What to expect: Yoga Nidra translates as Yogic Sleep – an ancient sleep-based meditation technique that includes breathing and relaxation techniques. Yoga Nidra combines mindfulness practices into a series of breath, body and awareness techniques which allows a deeper brainwave state than typical mindfulness meditation. Because Yoga Nidra is done while lying down, it is very comfortable, making it accessible to all ages and backgrounds including those who may be affected by physical impairments. Children today also have reportedly high-stress levels. To help them take a break, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) encourages parents to share meditation with their children. The simple act of teaching children how to stop, focus, and just breathe could be one of the greatest gifts you give them. What to bring: Please bring mats, blankets, pillow, or even a favorite stuffed animal! Anything that might make you and your child supremely comfortable. Nicole Anne Yoga is dedicated to helping you heal! We are happy to be offering donation based Guided Meditations via Facebook LIVE. All Facebook LIVE classes are COMPLIMENTARY to Veterans, Active Military Members, and now Health Care Providers/First Responders due to COVID-19; however, no one will be turned away due to lack of funds. Donations can be made here: Venmo - @Nicole-Fonovich

LIVE Virtual Sound Healing Journey Every Friday

Online event

TGIF! Spend Friday afternoons relaxing and enjoying some beautiful, vibrational sound healing. Please set up a comfortable space within your home where you can close your eyes and rest deeply. A quiet space is preferred to allow yourself to fully tune into the sound. Feel free to set up your space on your bed, couch, or a cushioned spot on the floor. You can use a pillow underneath your head (making sure that your forehead does not lift above your chin), underneath your knees, an eye pillow, mask, or scarf to cover your eyes, and a blanket to place over your body. Please use any other props that may make you feel supremely comfortable. If you have a Bluetooth speaker it is recommended that you use it to enhance the experience. Sound healing uses the power of sound to restore one’s mind, body and spirit back to a state of balance. Sound waves from instruments create harmonic resonance that trains the brain to move into deeper brain wave frequencies. By using rhythm and frequency, we can train our brainwaves making it possible to down-shift our normal beta state (normal waking consciousness) to alpha (relaxed consciousness), and even reach theta (meditative state) and delta (sleep; where internal healing can occur).
