What we're about

Pray..., we all do it sometimes. And in these days of Pandemic, we do it differently. In response to the social distancing guidelines for Covid-19, we are not gathering in person for Night Prayer. We will have prayer virtually on the Zoom platform. We will post a link to the Zoom meeting each Sunday night by 7pm on the Meetup site. You can click the link to join the prayers. There will be guided liturgy, music, usually from Taize, and time of quiet. Someone will be present to light candles on your behalf. The platform is interactive, so you can offer specific prayers aloud for all to hear, or silent prayers. We will begin the time with instructions. If you do not have the Zoom app, you can download it ahead of time, or it will happen automatically when you click the link to join the meeting. And so, we will continue to pray, together.

Online Night Prayer

Online event

Night Prayer continues on Zoom. We cannot gather in person, but we can still pray. We will listen to/sing the music of Taize and follow the traditional order of Night Prayer handed down for centuries from churches "praying the hours." I encourage you to bring a candle, or more than one, to light in your space. As you come to prayer, consider how to make your space ready for your spirit to enter a time of prayer. When you enter, contemplative music will be playing to help us prepare ourselves.
