I am a performer, both of violin and piano, but I am also a good singer. I also play a little mandolin. I have a BA in music from Winthrop University, have youth orchestra, chamber orchestra, jazz orchestra and chamber group experience. I have also performed in a Scottish fiddling group and a bluegrass picking group. I also occasionally compose and perform my own works.
I am an amateur player at the moment-if I do get into music professionally it would be as an academic. I am open to either finding a piano accompanist, another violinist, or other string players to perform in an orchestra, chamber group, duo or trio or to just work on my knowledge of the standard literature for violin. I am also open to finding a guitarist and folk musicians to play bluegrass or any of the Celtic fiddling genres. I'm also open to musicians interested in innovative rock music or performing original, improvisational music.
I am currently looking for work in government, non-profit and higher education sectors as a coordinator, program manager or researcher but have a life-long love of music, both as a listener and performer.
