What we're about

Some of my favorite things include concerts, plays (I have season tickets to both B Street Theater and Capital Stage), sport events (any live sport), author and other speaker events, road trips, train and boat cruises, touring museums and landmarks, food, beer, wine,and/or cocktail events, obtaining brewery passport stamps, hiking before scheduled events (always optional), and otherwise exploring all that the greater Sacramento and Northern California area has to offer.

Unless otherwise stated, you will be responsible for purchasing tickets to any events (links will be provided).

I'm interested in hearing what you want to do and welcome any and all suggestions for future activities. To start, all events will be hosted and attended by me. In the future, I may open up events to no host or invite others to be organizers.

If I have touched on one, some, many, or all of your interests, this is the group for you. Looking forward to exploring all the greater Sacramento area has to offer with you.

G6 Tequila Pairing @ Tequila Museo Mayahuel

1200 K St

Felipe Camarena, known as 'El Ingeniera' or sometimes 'The Mad Scientist' will join us to pour his beautiful G4 Tequila. For over 80 years, the Camarena family has been handcrafting some of the world’s finest Tequilas. Felipe and his sons created El Pandillo Distillery to honor their family’s proud traditions The Tequila you taste is made with Agave grown to exacting standards and ripened to perfection. The Agave are cooked in traditional stone ovens in an innovative method that creates the purest Agave flavor. The plant waste is repurposed as fertilizer. In fact, Felipe Camarena is one of the most energy-efficient and environmentally conscious producers of Tequila. We’ll begin with a cocktail made from the G4 Blanco, to be enjoyed with a delicious small bite created by Chef Eduardo Garcia. As the evening continues….. We’ll taste the Blanco: Tasting notes : Nice minerality and forward aroma from rainwater distillation. Silky texture with slight heat. True agave, spicy, peppery, smooth and delicious with nice buttery notes and smoky elements. Complex, but pleasant sipping. The Reposado, Tasting notes : aged for at least 6 months in American Oak bourbon barrels, the “rested” tequila – G4 Reposado builds on the character of the blanco, but adds to the aroma hints of peach and licorice, with a small hints of grapefruit and lighter pepper in the tasting. The Añejo, Tasting notes: aged for at least 18 months in American Oak bourbon barrels, the G4 Añejo adds a smooth character. Vanilla and agave notes are present in both the aroma and taste. Slight pepper, soft floral tones as well as smoky highlights. And the Extra Añejo. Tasting notes: aged for at least 3 years in American Oak bourbon barrels, the G4 Extra Añejo tastes provides soft notes of the blanco. Remarkably smooth, soft oakiness with leading vanilla aroma, citrus notes, hints of floral, dark berries and pure agave flavor. A small bite served with each magical expression. Bring your desire for fine, artisan Tequila and your appetite for amazing food. The two are made for one another. Event limited to 60. The Coa Room will not hold a greater number of aficionados, so sign up early – we anticipate this event selling out quickly. As always, you may choose Vegan small. I am a club member, so if I buy 3 tickets, I get the 4th one free. My ticket price is $30 (so 4 tickets will cost me $90). If we have 10 people, the restaurant will throw us a special deal. bites.http://tequilamuseo.com/g4-tequila-tequila-tasting-event/

Gilligan's Island The Musical

7991 California Ave

Gilligan’s Island: The Musical is a family-friendly stage musical version of the ever popular and iconic 60’s TV comedy show, GILLIGAN’S ISLAND. Shipwrecked on a remote Pacific Island, the seven castaways discover strange hieroglyphics in a spooky cave, which speak of an ancient legend. The weather gets tough, Gillian foils the best-laid of the castaway’s rescue plans…. romance develops…the castaways have an out-of-this-world encounter…it’s fun, wacky and entertaining with original, tuneful and memorable songs. I recommend bringing a cushion to sit on, sunscreen, a hat, and a sweater. jacket, or blanket.
