From Knoxville to Memphis, from mountain folk music, and historic country music to the heart of the Blues - you'll see and experience the differences that makes each region of Tennessee spectacular in it's own right. Enjoy an up and coming culinary scene, refined plantation dining and good ol' Tennessee BBQ - all in one trip. Kick up your boots and dance the night away at a Nashville honky-tonk, slip into a soulful blues performance in Memphis and participate in a live radio broadcast in Knoxville!
Day 1: This morning depart for our overnight stay in Knoxville, TN. After rest stops and lunch on your own we'll arrive at our centrally located downtown Knoxville hotel. This evening you'll experience the newly developed and popular Market Square in downtown. Shop in the eclectic boutiques, dine in this fast-emerging culinary scene at a restaurant of your choice and catch some local entertainment afterwards with live music or perhaps just a relaxed pub. The Market Square is walking distance to our hotel, return at your leisure for a good night's rest.

Day 2: What better way to start your day than a delicious group breakfast! After check out you'll return to Market Square for a hearty breakfast at Cafe 4, known for it's classy-country breakfasts. This is a great way for the group to kick off our Tennessee tour! Following breakfast you'll enjoy a city tour, filled with history of the downtown area and the University of Tennessee campus. The guide will drop us off at the Visitor's Center for a truly unique experience!
This afternoon you'll attend a live performance radio show held at noon each day! Get comfortable in your reserved seat, dig into your box lunch and enjoy the WDVX Blue Plate Special featuring family friendly live Americana music from local artists.
Departing from Knoxville, enjoy the scenic drive to Nashville where on arrival you'll check into the hotel and have some time to freshen up. Your first introduction to Nashville will be the "Man in Black" at the Johnny Cash Museum. After our visit we'll depart for dinner and entertainment at the popular Wildhorse Saloon! Dust of your boots and get ready to hit the dance floor tonight...your evening includes a fabulous southern buffet dinner, live entertainment and maybe even a dance lesson or two! After dinner you may want to continue down Broadway, checking out the honky tonks or return to your conveniently located downtown hotel.

Day 3: Today will focus on the music of Nashville! Following breakfast at the hotel, you'll visit the Hatch Show Print Shop. Operating since 1879, this historic letterpress shop will engage your senses: listen to the presses crank as you learn more about the history, see the brilliantly colored posters that put the shop on the map in the last century and compare them with the posters printed today for your favorite entertainers, handle some of the tools of the trade and smell the ink as you pull your own keepsake print!
You'll spend the remainder of the morning exploring the Country Music Hall of Fame Museum on your own. View the current exhibits on display, learn about your favorite artists and enjoy lunch on your own at one of several cafes at the museum. After lunch depart for a fantastic city tour of Nashville! Take in the sights of "Music City", hear fascinating stories and get a feel for the history of this amazing city. Your afternoon will conclude with a tour of RCA Studio B where over 35,000 songs have been brought to life by the likes of Elvis Presley, Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton and Willie Nelson!
This evening tuck in for a hearty down-home dinner before experiencing the highlight of Nashville - the Grand Ole Opry! You'll enjoy the show "that made country music famous", featuring a dynamic line-up of new stars, superstars, and legends of country music, presenting eight or more artists on each show! After you see the show - see what it's like behind the scenes! Walk in the footsteps of country music's superstars and get an exclusive look at what happens on the other side of the curtain of the show that made country music famous - right after the show ends!

Day 4: Following check out and breakfast you'll arrive at The Ryman Auditorium - a National Historic Landmark and a must see while in Nashville. Learn about the history, beginning as the the Union Gospel Tabernacle in 1892, and most famously as the home to the Grand Ole Opry until 1974.
Your afternoon will present a more historic story of Nashville, going back to the days of Civil War and prior, our visit to the Belle Meade Plantation will be filled with horses, history and hospitality. Enjoy a guided tour of the plantation home, learning the interesting history of horse breeding and racing that took place at the plantation. You'll indulge in a beautifully prepared luncheon and sample some of the wines from their vineyards before continuing your journey across Tennessee.
This evening you'll arrive in Memphis, home to Blues, Jazz and Rock n' Roll! Sit down to a slow-cooked, Memphis style BBQ dinner before checking in at the hotel for our two night stay.

Day 5: No visit to Memphis would be complete without a tour of Graceland. After breakfast you'll depart for this world-famous attraction. Take an i-Pad enhanced self guided tour of the mansion, grounds and final resting place of Elvis Presley, the King of Rock n' Roll. View the Jungle Room and be awed by the number of trophies and awards on display.
This afternoon you'll have time to explore Beale Street for lunch on your own at one of the many restaurants, pubs and cafes on this iconic street. Following lunch and time on your own, embark on a scenic cruise! Take a Paddlewheeler a few miles up and down the greatest river in the U.S., The "Mighty" Mississippi. See and learn a bit of Mississippi River history while stepping back in time with commentary that gives a comprehensive and interesting narrative of past and present Mississippi River life.
Upon your return follow the complete musical history of Memphis at the Rock n' Soul Museum. The exhibition about the birth of rock and soul music, created by the Smithsonian Institution, tells the story of musical pioneers who, for the love of music, overcame racial and socio-economic barriers to create the music that shook the entire world.
Your day will conclude with a delicious buffet dinner and live music at B.B. Kings Blues Club this evening! Following dinner you may want to continue exploring the fantastic clubs and music venues on Beale Street or return to our downtown hotel just a few blocks away for a good night's rest.

Day 6: This morning you'll be greeted by a step on guide for a city tour of Memphis - learn some interesting facts from this Memphis native and see amazing sights along the way! Following our city tour you'll enjoy a docent guided tour of the Dixon Gardens. With over 17 acres of gardens, hundreds of botanical species and sculptures throughout the grounds, visiting the gardens is a relaxing end to our busy few days in Memphis. Enjoy lunch on your own at the cafe or at one of the popular food trucks before departing this afternoon.
Journeying back across the state this afternoon you'll experience another side of Tennessee while visiting the Short Mountain Distillery. Learn the history of moonshine at this small-batch distillery during your guided tour and of course - a visit wouldn't be complete without a tasting! Following the tour you'll have dinner on your own at the on-site restaurant before continuing to our en-route hotel for the evening.
