March NAGA Organization Meeting

The monthly organizational meeting for the Nashville Area Gamer Association is a completely open event and anybody who is interested in NAGA as a group is absolutely welcome to attend. Attendance is never needed if you just want to game, but even if you’re just curious about what we’re planning on doing in the coming year, feel free to stop by. Notably, we will discuss the two upcoming conventions we are assisting with, and hold votes for open positions. If you are a gamer in Nashville, you’re a part of NAGA, so please feel free to show up and volunteer! NAGA is an association of many groups: if you are part of a gaming group, business or organization, please show up to represent, advocate and promote your group.

While this is not a gaming event, and the meeting is the primary reason for the gathering, there will probably still be gaming and social activities afterwards as decided by the people present. We are, after all, a bunch of gamers getting together.

The location is an apartment complex clubhouse with ample free parking. We will have access to a small kitchen and use of the clubhouse after the event.

If you have any orders of business you would like to add, feel free to e-mail or call the chair, Sarah Edwards: [masked] (814) 404-0008. If you can not attend due to location or time of week, please also contact Sarah, as these meetings are intentionally held at open locations around Nashville to encourage participation.

As I just posted to the G+ event: It was an outstanding meeting, and I would like to give a hearty thanks to those who participated. There should be a full summary of everything posted within a couple days.

Any chance anyone's headed this way from the Antioch area and wouldn't mind a hitchhiking loudmouth coming along (and contributing a few bucks worth of gas?)

I'm on bell road. I could swing by and pick you up. Email me at [masked]

On the agenda is scheduling the next meeting, and it will likely always be, so from now on there should be a regularly published schedule.

Might sign up last minute and show up since this is really close by me. I don't want to commit right this moment since I might be working on a cold though :(

Sorry, I will be at Midsouthcon.

Yep. We've been bumping it back for events and people since early February. There's just no way to do it except overlap. By the way - swing by tomorrow if you want to check out the quality of DriveThruCards. I ordered a set, and you can compare them to who you're using for card printing. I'm curious how they compare, and I've avoided shuffling to keep them mint, fresh from the press.

Is this the first monthly meeting, or have there been others in the past that I've missed?

    March 3, 2014

    • Evan E.

There have been some in the past, but as we've grown and now have far more opportunities, we're trying to involve more people, and especially a wider range of gamers and gaming groups.
