This Meetup is at one of the crown jewels of the North Texas prairies and an incredible place called Tandy Hills Natural Area in east Fort Worth, near I-30 and Beach St.
Their website has a lot of great details (http://www.tandyhills.org) and tons of inspiring photos by Don Young, who has used his camera and advocacy to help preserve the place and turn it into an amazing asset.
May 2 should be a good time to shoot wildflowers. As always, we try to hit a high point so if the flowers are delayed or early, we might adjust the date. This is a great opportunity to shoot macros, wide angle flowers and landscapes.
