• What we'll do
We’ll start at the Nature Center. This is approximately a 15-mile ride through a section of the Edwin Warner Park paved road continuing on the Harpeth River Greenway and back. A portion of the greenway follows the Harpeth River.
There will be some hills and flat pavement. A few hills in the park will be a bit challenging. This isn’t a race, so no one will be left behind. The pace is intended to allow enjoyment of the surroundings while covering the distance.
• What we’ll see
Flowers, trees, critters including other peeps, woods, fields, picnic areas, a golf course, a school, some neighborhoods, a river and creeks, commemorative park benches / signs, trail access points. If riders want and time permitting, there will be a stop at a tributary to the river. We will get off the pavement and walk to the graveled bank and up to or in the water.
• What we won’t encounter
Commuter traffic, stop lights, intersections, etc.
• What to bring
Helmets are required. Water, snacks, lights, mirror, horn, gloves and an extra tube are strongly recommended. The nature center has restrooms and water fountains. These amenities are also at other spots on the ride.
Check the weather - rider discretion is advised!
