Hi Everyone,
As mentioned in my previous email with regards bringing onboard ex-Armed Forces personnel to lead mountaineering hikes and other outdoor activities, please can I ask you to welcome Patrick Hickie who has a wealth of experience, and is a Plas y Brenin trained Mountaineering Instructor, and currently studying for his International Mountaineering Award.
Patrick will lead various activities within our calendar of events, which include: mountaineering, high altitude mountaineering, scrambling, rock climbing, and navigation, and as always with lots of FUN.

Patrick is a highly experienced mountaineer with over 30 years experience all over the world, including a first ascent in the Himalayas. He has held the Mountain Leader Summer and Winter awards (from Scotland's Glenmore Lodge) for over 20 years and is a fully qualified holder of the Mountaineering Instructor Award (from Plas y Brenin). He leads groups all over the UK mountains in summer and winter, and instructs everyone from beginners to aspiring leaders in rock-climbing and scrambling. Patrick is part way through his International Mountain Leader award and will soon expand his work to the European countries (and beyond). He has an Outdoor First-Aid certificate, professional insurance and is a member of his professional body, the Association of Mountaineering Instructors (http://www.mountain-training.org/associations/ami).
