26 OCT Falls Lake Cookout & Workday

The US Army Corps of Engineers annual Falls Lake Cookout will be at Rolling View Recreation Area, preceeded by a FMST Falls Lake Trails Workday. 
At 9:00 AM All interested should meet at the Food Lion parking lot at the intersection of Patterson/Sherron and Highway 98. Please use google maps for this intersection. After we meet we will
split up into project groups and "scatter out" to do our trail work.

At the end of the workday everyone journeys to the Rolling View Recreation Area Picnic Shelter BY 4:00 PM for a Social time & to enjoy a cookout meal.

COOKOUT - We are having our end of the year cookout at
Rolling View once again! Your RSVP is a must to have enough food. I don't want anybody going home hungry...so your RSVP is a must!

YOU, as the FMST volunteers are sponsoring the Cookout for 2013. More details later, but for that cold day, HOT SOUP will be provided!

Projects for the Day are:

Project Thus Far:

1. David Bland - 6-10 workers for trail work on Section 14 and 21.

2. Steve Lund, Peter Jacobi, and Michael Homberg
6-8 workers - hazard tree removal on Section 23

3.  6-10 workers on Section 5 to move a washed out bridge  back on it's foundation.

4. Crews for regular trail maintenance for Sections 11 and 12

Thanks to Great Outdoor Provision Company for sponsoring our breakfast from Chick-Fli-A at our workdays.  Thanks also to Starbucks off Falls of Neuse Road and Durant Road for the coffee.

Make sure you bring plenty of water, bag lunch, and gloves.
