First Fridays at the Greensboro Cultural Central

the First Friday performance on Sept. 6th will be part of the opening of  "The Learning Tree" Exhibit. There will be an official opening at 6 pm. We are invited to feature stories on the theme of inter-generational relationships and how they foster growth, wisdom and vitality for future generations. So be thinking about important mentors and role models in your life whose relationship inspired/impacted YOU....relatives, teachers, coaches, neighbors, inspirational people and figures from legends, etc.

First Fridays at the Greensboro Cultural Central,  storytellers from the Triad Story Exchange perform from 6 - 8 p.m. Local storytellers present a wide range of stories that engage audience members of all ages in an interactive creative process that brings to life characters, events and places long ago and far away from fiction and legend as well as real life experiences and cultural sharing. Using music, props, and dramatic action, the storytellers perform compelling stories that entertain, inform, inspire and connect people of all cultural backgrounds through the ancient oral performance art of storytelling.

Hope to see lots of storytellers and story listeners on Aug. 2nd...sharing stories on the theme "Summertime, and the living is...." Not quite sure where we will be set up on the main floor of the Gso Cultural Center, but look for the crowd laughing and having fun together.
