First Fridays at the Greensboro Cultural Central

[UPDATE: Our hosts, the African American Atelier, will have a presentation at 6:00PM honoring the Million Man March exhibit. We will start around 7PM. You are encouraged to come for the presentation at 6:00PM as those in attendance will be encouraged to stay for our storytelling. See you there!]

The current art show at the African-American Atelier is a Million Man March art project by local students. Everyone is welcome. Please fell free to bring a guest. If you have a story of courage (personal or group) to honor the theme of the Million Man March please come and share it with us!

First Fridays at the Greensboro Cultural Central,  storytellers from the Triad Story Exchange perform from 6 - 8 p.m. Local storytellers present a wide range of stories that engage audience members of all ages in an interactive creative process that brings to life characters, events and places long ago and far away from fiction and legend as well as real life experiences and cultural sharing. Using music, props, and dramatic action, the storytellers perform compelling stories that entertain, inform, inspire and connect people of all cultural backgrounds through the ancient oral performance art of storytelling.

Sorry, I won't be attending. I made prior arrangements that conflict with the later start time for story telling. I'll try to make it next time. Hi Alexis!

Thanks to Charlotte for pointing out this article on the great exhibit going at the African American Atelier during our Feb. 7th performance. Some great story inspiration material here!
