Quaterly Leader Summit May 31st

In our Quarterly Summit the primary topic will be "Building Your Leadership Team".  We will look at this issue from several angles including:

   * Finding NEW people to help run your community group

   * Getting people on your leadership team to do more

   * Decreasing the burden on overworked leaders

   * Increasing Satisfaction of the leaders in the community

The focus will be on best practices for finding people to help you run your community group while looking at ways to have the leaders you already have do more.   Please plan to stick around for the special "Game Night" after the Summit.

As before, it will take place at the Microsoft office in Waltham Ma.

I thought it went well, there was plenty of food and drinks, and having it followed by Games Night was fun. I'm looking forward to the next meeting.

Excellent use of time. Good information sharing / brainstorming with the group. Social time was well spent - I socialized, got some pointers on home brewing my own beer, found 2 potential speakers for my user group, and was recruited to speak for another user group.

Was interesting to hear that most groups have the same issues with finding new leaders. Like the idea of having specific tasks so people can know what they are getting into ahead of time and bring them in and hopefully after time they will be able to take on further responsibilities.

At a recent event, the leaders from Maine have voiced their abandonment since the Road shows ended. They are thankful for BUG support with books.
