Happy New Year to all! Our first North East IT Pro Leader Summit was a huge success!!!! Based on the discussions we had at our first meeting, it was decided that the frequency and event the time of the summits should change. Additionally there were some scheduling conflicts. I am happy to report that the schedule is not locked. Our next meeting will be held on Feb 10, 2011 from 3pm-5pm with a social hour available before and after the event. If you would like to see the results of the poll for our meeting time, please visit http://bit.ly/fD5tMz.... The recurring meetings have been cancelled and I will reschedule future meetings for every two to three months on or near our next meeting date.

In this meeting we will focus on "Improving YOUR NAME Brand". Improving our name brand is a very important part of becoming a community leader. It is also pretty important to fattening our wallets and decreasing stress. Today we will look at this very important aspect of growing our groups, growing our list of followers and growing our own personal and professional success. Bring your thoughts on this topic and share your successes (and failures) so we can all learn from them. To start the discussion off, I created a discussion board topic with some quick thoughts that I would like everyone to expand on to provide us more information and thought process prior to the meeting so we can get the most of our time together. Please visit http://bit.ly/fKukG2... to join in on the discussion.

As before, it will take place at the Microsoft office in Waltham Ma.

Please block off your calendar and RSVP to attend this event either in person in Waltham MA or online if you cannot attend in person. If you are not able to make it due to schedule conflicts please participate in the online discussion to have your opinions heard. Please pass this on to other community leaders. They may have gotten an invite from me, but they may not have. So, please send it, just in case :) Since my focus in the territory is primarily IT Pro and there are other people at Microsoft that work specifically with the developer community, I would like to make this non-developer focused. Anyone that focuses on a technology that bridge the IT Pro and developer space (SharePoint, SQL, etc) should absolutely attend. If developer community leaders wish to attend they are welcome. I do need to make sure we have enough capacity Live, on the phone and on the online meeting so I am asking all to RSVP by registering via the registration link. If you have other things that you think are important to discuss at this event, please let me know by sending an email to dstolts@microsoft.com or start the discussion yourself in the toolbar of http://neleaders.com... under discussions or under Ideas.
