AI is a general-purpose technology that will infuse all aspects of human life. In Switzerland and elsewhere. Therefore, it is of outmost importance to pro-actively address how the delivery and use of AI technologies should be governed. French president Manuel Macron got to the heart of the matter: “If you want to manage your own choice of society, your choice of civilization, you have to be able to be an acting part of this AI revolution.”
Marc will talk about the economics of artificial intelligence and the fundamental mechanics that drive the rapid introduction of AI in all sectors of society. At the same time, we need to be very attentive to how we apply this technology. Are there any use cases or features of an AI application that have unintended consequences? What basic principles and values do we want to embody in the way AI is developed, applied and consumed? Building on the example of the Microsoft approach, Marc will outline the vision of a human-centric AI that is both risk-based and responsible.
