Hike On the Wetmore/Langes Run Bridle Trails

This hike will be approx. 9mi.  It is a VERY MUDDY TRAIL!  It is reccomended for intermediate to advanced hikers, as it is a difficult trail to do with all the MUDD!  Hiking shoes with some degree of waterproofing is suggested, as you will get your feet WETT!  There are multiple stream crossings, (more than a few) and depending on recent rains, their crossings can be tricky.  I did this hike last Sun. solo, and it took me about 3.5hrs., so figure at least that much time or more due to the MUDD! We will begin at the trailhead then across Wetmore Rd. down the Valley Trail for a mile then hook up with Langes Run and over to Wetmore in a general counterclockwise direction.  This trail will be somewhat arduous to to the length and elevation variances.  Be ready for a slogfest, but a fun one if you are up for a challenge. We will average approx. 3-mph. This is basicly a copy of the hike Andrew did last Nov. near Thanksgiving. If you have a question please e-mail me. As always, hike at your own risk.  My cell is[masked] if needed.

Great pictures Tom...loved seeing the difference a week makes...snowglobe vs. sunshine.

I will work on my photos this week.

Loved the terrain and the group with minimal mud, great elevation, and a beautiful blue sky to admire while enjoying the warm weather! Simply amazing!

Wonderful weather & great location, really enjoyed going through an area I've never been before...the trails actually were less wet/muddy here than the 2PM Buckeye Trail hike through Pine Lane (now that was soupy!) Thanks for leading Tom!

There were seven attendees, four of us completed the entire nine miles, as we opted to do the last 3 as scheduled. Weather was great, and mud was not too bad. A good workout on a sunny day....
