From NEPG member Alasdair Crawford...
There will be a fireworks show at KVSF on July 6th. Throughout the day there will be various other activities at the airport. The airport grounds open to the general public at 2pm. There will be food vendors etc. on site all day (I gather some from 11am), glider rides, a car show, and a couple of aerobatic performances during the afternoon. The airport will remain open all day closing only briefly during the fireworks.
So while we are at it, why don't we kick things off with a pot-luck fly-in , lets say from Noon-2pm? Bring a dish to share with your fellow aviation enthusiasts. We'll have a couple of grills available for use too. After lunch hang out and enjoy the afternoon festivities. Hope to see some of you in Vermont.
KVSF is Vermont's oldest airport, established in 1919, with Vermont's second longest runway at 5,501 feet, and the country's oldest glider club, the New England Soaring Association. For more information call Shayne or Larry (aiport manager and fellow NEPG member) at 802-886-7500
