An invitation to one of the NE's biggest flyins from 4B9 manager Bill Thomas...
Largest Fly-In in New England. Over 10,000 spectators and 650+ planes and cars virtually every type and vintage. This event is like an east coast mini-Oshkosh. Aircraft and Auto Judging and trophies. Many new aircraft and car dealers. Lots of local merchants and exhibitors. See the Cirrus VisionJet full scale mockup, Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome's Spad fighter, 2013 OSH Grand Champ Lancair, NE Air Museum test runs of the 1920 blimp engine, and the LifeStar medivac helo.
Formation flying demo, RE/MAX hot air balloon and free aviation seminars.
Special Feature - Gustav Whitehead aircraft replica and seminar: did he really fly before the Wrights?
See www.simsburyflyin.com (http://www.simsburyflyin.com/) for full event details, FAA approach procedures, hours, parking, and contact info. In particular, be sure to look carefully at the section for pilots (http://www.simsburyflyin.com/pilots/).
The event begins at 8am and I'm sure there will be some NEPG early birds who will come in for the pancake breakfast which runs from 8am - 11am. Let's establish a formal NEPG meetup time of 11am. Congregate directly in front of the FBO building beneath the announcer. I will ask the announcer to make mention of this over the PA just before 11am.
Hope to see you there.
Manager, Simsbury Airport (4B9)
