Forgive the newbee, but...

Hi All,

New the the group so hopefully this isn't a dumb question. I first learned of the Raspberry Pi during a meetup in another group, and I've been doing a lot of seaching for sources of the Raspberry Pi, device, which last I could determne the Rev 2 hardware is the latest. So to my question.

Where is the best place to obtain the latest release device, and is there a recommended "starter package" for those just getting started with Raspberry Pi?

I would prefer to purchase the lastest hardware, and I don't want to discover after the fact that I need other items to get it up and running.
