I regularly partake in long boat sea kayaking surfing, currents, tide race, and rock play. Most of my more extreme paddling venues take place in Downeast Maine. Yes to wet exits but prefer to roll. Have performed multiple rescues in "conditions". Lots of experience trip planning including back up planning. Navigation techniques including fog conditions. Comfortable in 3-5 foot seas and above and winds in excess of 25. Open water crossings.
