No commitment on your part is required. Complete the training. If you successfully complete the class follow up by co-leading three future level two sea kayak day trips with me and complete an AMC Leadership class.

The training will be land and ocean based. You must already have Level 2 paddling skills, your own minimum 15 ½ ft sea kayak with perimeter lines, Spray Skirt, Wet/Dry Suit, Primary and Spare Paddles, PFD, Paddle Float, bilge pump and tow rope and a Portsmouth Harbor Nautical Sea Kayak Size Chart.

Here's what we'll cover during the day:
Trip Planning, Nautical Navigation, Paddling Sills, Rescue Skills, Wind, Weather, Tides and Current, Group Management and Emergency Situations (VHS Radio).

This class is open for up to 5 candidates. Candidates will be chosen for participation based on how closely they meet the equipment and proficiency requirements.

You need to submit an email to the leader indicating your current proficiency level (minimum level 2), confirmation that you have all of the required equipment and specify any prior kayaking courses you have participated in. Also any previous sea kayak rescue training.
