Computer Science Education week is Dec 7th through the 13th!
Join us for a fun evening of exploring coding in education! Through hands-on activities and presentations, educators and parents can learn about various applications and technologies and discover new opportunities for young people to engage with computer science concepts. Whether you work with pre-K to young adults, there's something for everyone! No experience required!
There are limited devices, so please bring your own device (smartphone, tablet, laptop) to use at the event for the app experience, BUT, we're also doing some "unplugged" – which are really fun too!
>>> Note this event is geared to those who are educating young folk - we're having another event geared for those littler people on Sunday, December 13th (http://www.meetup.com/NJ-Strategic-Design-Tech/events/227234682/).
Explore teaching opportunities using:
• Code Studio
• Khan Academy
• Makey Makey
• iPad apps
• Dash and Dot Robots by Wonder Workshop
• and “unplugged” activities that do not require technology
Educators and Homeschooling Parents will leave with information about age-appropriate ways to develop skills through coding and computational thinking.
