Testing Flex applications

In this session you will learn why you need to test RIA applications, how to prepare custom component for automation testing, how to interact with Flex Automation Framework. The session starts with an overview of popular testing  tools for Flex applications: QTP, FlexMonkey, Ranorex, Selenium.

Then you’ll see how to use capabilities of FlexMonkey – an open source software written in Flex and AIR on top of the Automation Framework - it can record, edit, play back, and verify the results of automation scripts. You'll also see how FlexMonkey generates ActionScript-based FlexUnit scripts that can be extended to handle even the most complex usage scenarios, and how we can easily integrate FlexMonkey tests into unit test suites and continuous integration builds.
