I liked the discussion regarding "Why isn't Linux used on the desktop at more companies?". I would like to see that discussion continued here and propose we have a roundtable discussion item during each meeting. If so, we should add it to the agenda.

Good discussions and tutorials. Looking forward to the grub tutorial. Would like to have feedback discussions led by attendees of the various conferences including Linux Summit.

I hit the second day (too busy for the 1st day) to find pleasant, easy to see presentations in a great venue (food wasn't bad either.) - One presenter, for some reason, only appeared to present (look) to the right side of the room (hardly looked to the middle or left) and had a thick accent, so found it harder to follow, but overall - good presentations.. SUSE have offered to come to our August meeting (working out the logistics and will let you all know.) but Parallels *again* turned me(us) down..

Regretfully, I won't be able to make my first meetup tonight. I plan on coming to the next one and (hopefully) by that time I'll have a new laptop with Linux installed.

I have a suggestion. When can we do a GnuPG/GPG/OpenPGP key signing?

We just did that a couple of meetings ago.. Ask Murph and Jerry and see if they'll give you some basic guidance..

The now usual drill; I get off of work in Manhattan at 7:00, so I will try to get there by 8:00. Anybody here been following what's been going on with Nixie Pixel?
